1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle #253

Beautiful example. Mickey's skin tone is accurate, great color, very strong centering. Beautiful image, correct skin tone, & a clean back. Hard to find like this.

If you shop for this card--as I have extensively-- you will find this is beyond elite centering for the Mantle rookie. This card will almost certainly be ranked as better by the collectors here than the 90/10 PSA 7 I just reviewed a minute ago. I also notice how this card fills the holder so much more than that 7. This is an elite specimen.

Great copy a little off centered

colors are nice and sharp but closer look it has discolorations and dark spots on the card especially around the borders

This is really pretty. Love the combination of focus/registration and centering-- the latter of which is off by a hair. Yet as you get to know this card by examining other examples, you'll see there are only a small handful of examples out there in all grades with superior centering. Really pleases the eye.
